Scholarships 2019-2020

April 28, 2020

Greetings Everyone:

We hope that you and your families are all well during this unexpected change due to COVID-19.  I would like to thank each of you for your assistance in our quest to locate the 220 students that were identified by the Marjean Taylor-Myatt ICS staff.  Currently, 142 students have been located.  Of the 142 students, 73 students have been identified as graduating Seniors, Class 2020.

Only three students have completed the application process.  Please encourage your students to click on this link to complete the application process. The deadline has been extended through May 10, 2020.  If you think more time needs to be given please contact me and let me know 225-262-9696 cell and valerie.fields@cctaylorfoundation.org. I have also included the application process information below that you can copy and paste into an email or document.  If you have any thoughts on how we might be able to locate the 78 remaining students we are open to any suggestions. I will stay in contact with the counselors who have identified sophomores and juniors at their schools so that we can start their process at the beginning of their senior year.

Of the 78 students that were not identified by a school counselor, 26 were were contacted via Facebook.  Only one has responded.  Upon review of their status on Facebook some have graduated high school and are in college or are working. If you are aware of those on the list below that have graduated please let us know and I will forward that information to the Foundation members.

Thank you for assisting the CCTaylor Foundation with keeping its promise to the students and their families.

Sincerely,

Dr. Valerie S. Fields, Scholarship Committee
